Women have been gathering together for sharing cooking, sewing, chatting, childbirth, even menstrual huts, since time began.  Women feel a natural bond of sisterhood, and that common bond is comforting.  Also, the acceptance we women get from other loving women is essential.  We need our girlfriends.
